Choose a lash lift when you want to change the curl of your own lashes. Consider extensions when you want added length or fullness. The right appointment also depends on your natural lashes, sensitivities and the upkeep you are happy to make time for.

What Changes With Each Treatment?
Lash Lift
Your existing lashes are shaped into a more lifted curl. No extension fibres are added. The starting length and density of your own lashes still matter.
Eyelash Extensions
Extension fibres are attached to natural lashes. The chosen set changes the added length, curl and fullness, within what your lashes can support.
A lift can make lashes look more noticeable without making them physically longer or thicker. Cleveland Clinic explains that it works by chemically reshaping the existing lashes. Read its explanation of lash lifts and their risks.
At BellaPharma, Classic extensions use one extension per natural lash. Hybrid 2D combines classic and volume styling; Russian Volume 3D creates a fuller finish with fans. The name of the set is a starting point for consultation, not a promise that every reference photo can be recreated.
Start With The Look You Actually Want
Think about what you like after applying mascara. If you mainly want your own lashes to sit more visibly upwards, discuss a lift. If you want noticeably more length or density, ask about extensions instead. A lift cannot supply lashes where there are gaps.
Bring a clear reference, but explain which part you like: the length, the curl, a soft everyday finish or a fuller lash line. Ask the technician what is realistic with your natural lashes. “Natural” and “dramatic” mean different things to different people, so a brief conversation is more useful than choosing a label alone.

Compare The Return Visits, Not Just The First Price
Extensions need a maintenance plan as natural lashes shed. BellaPharma’s service page recommends refills every two to three weeks, with the actual appointment depending on your set and its condition. Confirm whether your next visit qualifies for a refill or needs removal and a new set.
A lash lift has a different return pattern: you are treating your own lashes rather than filling gaps in a set of extensions. Ask when another lift would be appropriate for the product used and your lash condition. Do not book repeated chemical treatments simply because a particular number of weeks has passed.
If you travel often, swim, wear eye makeup or cannot easily return for refills, mention that before choosing. Ask for written care instructions specific to the lift solution or extension adhesive being used, including when water, steam and makeup are appropriate. A generic rule from a different product may not apply.
Current BellaPharma Prices
The following prices were checked against our Services & Prices menu on 20 October 2026. Menu prices exclude 5% VAT:
- Eyelash tint, lift and lamination: AED 229 before VAT, AED 240.45 including VAT. Confirm the combination planned for you when booking.
- Classic extensions: full set AED 199; refill AED 149 before VAT.
- Hybrid 2D extensions: full set AED 229; refill AED 179 before VAT.
- Russian Volume 3D extensions: full set AED 249; refill AED 199 before VAT.
- Extension removal: AED 59 before VAT, AED 61.95 including VAT.
For a simple comparison, a Classic full set plus one eligible refill totals AED 348 before VAT, or AED 365.40 including VAT. This is a two-appointment example, not a package, monthly charge or guaranteed maintenance schedule. Removal, a replacement full set or other agreed work would change the total.
Ask for the final VAT-inclusive amount before treatment, particularly if you already have extensions from another salon. A lift quote and an extension quote cover different work even when their starting prices are close.
Suitability Comes Before Styling
Tell the technician about previous reactions, sensitive eyes and recent lash treatments before booking. Cleveland Clinic notes that lifting products can cause allergic reactions and overprocessing can damage lashes. A patch test does not guarantee that a reaction cannot occur; ask what testing is required for the exact products and your history.
Extension adhesives can also cause allergy or irritation. The FDA advises checking the ingredients and avoiding eye cosmetics when you have an eye infection or inflamed surrounding skin. If irritation occurs, stop using the product and seek medical advice if it persists. Read the FDA’s eye-cosmetic guidance.
If you have an active eye problem or are unsure whether a recent eye procedure affects treatment, get advice from your eye-care professional before booking. A salon consultation cannot diagnose an eye condition. Neither option should be chosen on the assumption that it is risk-free.
Five Questions To Send Before Your Appointment
- Does my reference need a lift, extensions or a different approach?
- What can you achieve with my current lash length and condition?
- What products and testing will be used, given any sensitivities I have?
- What does the quote include, with VAT, removal and return visits?
- What aftercare should I follow, and when should my lashes be assessed again?
